FIC Neo1973 Smartphone


Open-Source Neo1973 from FIC is a fully programmable phone with 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen. You can write your own applications for this smartphone or download available apps from the internet.
This quad-band GSM/GPRS phone uses open-source OpenMoKo Linux operating system. It also has Bluetooth 2.0 and USB. It also has built-in GPS system. All these features can be used by developlers to create all kind of applications for this smartphone, so that this phone does what you want it to do rather than what the phone provider wants it to do. Costs around US$350 and service is provided by AT&T or T-Mobile. Should be available by end of 2007.
